Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post on Stirrup Queens which explains the idea and how you can participate too.
Today Mel over at the Stirrup Queens microblogged an inspirational quote. This far in Microblog Monday’s I’ve made my own little themes for myself, but today I’d love to follow hers & share some of my favourite quotes with you guys — those quotes that make me remember that I CAN DO IT…whatever IT is.
My first, & my favourite since I started working on my own stuff, is actually from author Seth Godin. I heard it as I passed by someone watching a self help video & made them stop to rewind it. It just SPOKE to me, you know? That’s when I resolved to start taking my business seriously. I even wrote it down all pretty like & it resides on my desk at work, like a friendly little pick-me-up when I’m getting bogged down at work.
Yes, that is a TARDIS floating beside the quote. 😉 The good Doctor always reminds me to appreciate the magic in life, so I like to keep him around visually.
There’s lots of other quotes on my desk, some written down by me, a few put on my desk by coworkers… (Isn’t it funny how random crap on our desks makes us more productive?) my favourite from a coworker was because I used to get a lot of flak for having an “organized mess” of a desk. It says:
“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”
Anyway, hope you’ve enjoyed my inspirational quotes!
What words have most inspired you?
