Do you sense it? I can feel it…! By the pricking of my thumbs, SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!!! It’s…it’s HORRIBLE! It’s… the first week of school!!!! Ahhh!!
Seriously, though, how was everyone’s first week back? (Either yourself or the kiddos?) Well, hopefully today’s post can help lessen the sting (or pricking, rather!) of this first week!
What better way to finish up the first week of school then with a fantastic cup of everbody’s favourite drink from the fantastic world of Harry Potter? Butterbeer!! (Speaking of Hogwarts, there’s a school I wouldn’t mind going back to!)
Best of all, this is all completed in FOUR EASY STEPS!!
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp. Hot Buttered Rum Mix (store bought or make yer own)
- A jigger of rum (see pic for the jigger, it’s a measuring device for alcohol)
- 2 tsp. of softened butter (for a lighter drink, nix the butter)
- 6 oz. boiling water
**You can also nix the rum for a virgin version of this drink, but who wants that??? Psh!
***Also, I tripled the ingredient list from the single serving listed above, except the rum for the one n00b who didn’t want RUM.
Soften thy BUTTA’! After it’s softened, pour in 2 tbsp. of your Butter Rum mix in with it & mix thoroughly until it’s smooth.
Pour the mixture in your mug of choice!! Bring your water to a boil & pour in 6 oz. of the boiling water in with the mixture.
Add a jigger (like, a shot…or more, if you’re fond of the rum, like I am!) of rum to the mug o’ stuff. Stir well, but gently, so you don’t lose any of the DELISH.
Add the boiling water…then, cool to preference, & DRINK IT!!!
